The church house is our beautiful Greek home on the stunning island of Poros; a pine covered island nestling into the mainland in the Saronic Gulf, hugged by calm waters and with a breath taking mountainous backdrop.
The house is perfectly situated close to the bustling harbour with its’ fish market, shops and tavernas and yet remains peaceful and tranquil with the town beach a short stroll away.
From Athens airport, Poros can be reached by road (via Galatas) in about three hours or by taxi and hydrofoil from Piraeus in as little as two hours.
The coastal town of Galatas, opposite Poros island, is the gateway to the Pelopenese offering car hire and buses and is an ideal starting point for day trips to Epidavros and Nafplion, the ancient Greek capital.
